It's 9:00 AM central on Thursday, January 20th associated student government passed a resolution yesterday to demand that Northwestern provide hybrid learning options. The ASG senators who sponsored the legislation sighted persistent high COVID case loads, student pushback against in-person learning and the lack of a cohesive learning plan for students in quarantine, the board of Evanston township high school and the executive search firm at hired to help find a new superintendent announced a survey also yesterday to ask community members about their preferences for the school. The eight question survey is available online through 5:00 PM on Monday, January 31st in Aurora, Illinois, mayor Richard Ervin announced his candidacy Monday for the Republican nomination for governor delivering a tough on crime message in his three minute announcement, video, urban like the 10 odd other candidates seeking the GOP nomination is angling to receive the financial support of Ken Griffin, the Citadel founder, and the richest person in Illinois, who is committed to go all in against incumbent governor JB Pritzker on Capitol hill last night, Republicans in the us Senate blocked the voting rights bill put forward by Democrats to counter recent voting restrictions around the country.
