Here are the headlines to start your day. Northwestern athletics found great success this past weekend, the women's basketball team beat Penn state 78 to 72, and he was powered to victory. Thanks to their 10 made three pointers during the game and impressive feat that hasn't been done since last season, the Northwestern wrestling team also clocked in their first win of the season during a home tournament against the university of Maryland. This Sunday there'll be facing off against Michigan state. This coming Friday, go cats, Chicago government officials vowed to be tougher on crime yesterday, aiming to combat the extreme level of carjackings expressway, shootings, and other similar crimes in Chicago. There were over 1200 carjackings reported in the city during the past year and mayor Lightfoot and her team have expressed their desire to tackle this growing issue. President Biden's administration underwent a major change yesterday after science advisor, Dr. Eric Lander resigned under accusations of mistreating staff marking the first cabinet loss since the start of president Biden's term, the U S presented an intervention concerning the Russia Ukraine conflict yesterday. President Biden stated that the construction of Russia's Nord stream two gas pipeline through Europe would be prevented.
