It's 9:00 AM central on Friday, February 11, former democratic presidential candidate, Marianne Williamson visited campus on Thursday to advocate for spiritual change within the political arena. The event was hosted by Northwestern's political union and drew an audience of around 150 members. Williamson announced her support of congressional candidates who are progressive and non corporatist at Thursday's event and asked listeners to view politics through a metaphysical lens in attempting to solve the nation's problems applications for the city of Evanston's mayor's summer youth employment program opened Thursday. The program gives local teens preferably between the ages of 14 and 18 opportunities to explore careers and will take place on Saturday, March 12, from 8:00 AM to 12:30 PM at Evanston township high school.
