Here are the headlines to start your day. The Northwestern mock trail team placed eighth at the recent national championship in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Two team members also won individual awards at the competition after continuously placing ninth and 10th. The past few years, the team welcomed the improvement. This was the first in-person American mock trial association, national championship tournament since 2019, the Evanston board of education named Mark Campbell as the next ETS district 2 0 2 superintendent. He will succeed superintendent Eric Witherspoon, who is set to retire at the end of the school year. A former English teacher, Mr. Campbell is currently the assistant superintendent and a principal at Evanston township high school, community members, stakeholders, and word of education have agreed that Mr. Campbell is the clear choice for this role. Governor JB Pritzker signed a 46 billion budget on Tuesday. Speaker 0 00:01:11 He signed off on another 1.8 billion the same day that are mostly going towards temporary tax relief for Illinoisans Illinois's Republicans criticized the governor for increasing state spending. These actions come as Pritzker is running for reelection, but it is still not known whose his Republican opponent will be. Voters in France will decide whether to keep their current president and Manuel crown or place him with far right candidate Marine. The pen on election day, this Sunday, since the two last ran against each other in the 2017 presidential election Lappen has made her image more moderate while Macron has been criticized for his conservative economic initiatives and for being out of touch with the French public current polls show Macron slightly ahead of Lappen that's off today's daily cat from Evanston, Illinois, and pass about.
